When Super Bowl 52 kicked off at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, early in the second quarter, Michael Strahan was the first person to fire his first shot of the season at Terry Bradshaw. Strahan, who was the starting quarterback for the New York Giants in Super Bowl 52, was on Fox NFL Sunday pre-game show ahead of the game. The first round contest between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers had been postponed due to the government shutdown in the U.S. That led to a 21-minute delay in the game.
At the Hall of Fame induction ceremony tonight in Canton, Michael Strahan fired the first shot of the 2021 NFL season at Terry Bradshaw during Fox’s pregame show before the Dallas Cowboys-Pittsburgh Steelers exhibition game.
Fox Sports’ NFL coverage has been so good, it’s been hard for critics to find any reason to hate the network. This year’s first preseason game, between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, lived up to the high expectations that have been set.
On Thursday night in Canton, the Fox NFL broadcast crew kicked off the 2021 season with the Hall of Fame Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite being off the air for months over the summer, Michael Strahan regained his stride early in the pregame show and fired the opening shot of the season at broadcast partner and fellow Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw.
The NFL season in 2021 is set to begin.
It’s always a big weekend in Canton, Ohio. This year the Pro Football Hall of Fame welcomes its newest inductees from the 2020 and 2021 classes (last year’s ceremony was postponed due to the pandemic). This year’s ceremony will include a large representation from two of the league’s most storied franchises in the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Head coach Jimmy Johnson, Cliff Harris, and Drew Pearson are among the Cowboys’ honorees. Bill Cowher, Troy Polamalu, and Donnie Shell are the Steelers’ representatives.
They’re all in town for the festivities, which begin out with the Hall of Fame Game and a weekend filled of unforgettable memories.
Terry Bradshaw is the target of Michael Strahan’s first shot of the season.
Former Dallas Cowboys coach and Fox commentator Jimmy Johnson joined his broadcast colleagues and Hall of Famers Michael Strahan, Howie Long, Terry Bradshaw, and presenter Curt Menefee on the Fox set for a night of celebration.
Johnson brought up the gap in Strahan’s teeth and how the artist’s rendering closely resembled the real thing during a segment where the three Hall of Famers talked about their respective induction ceremonies and accompanying busts — all lined up on the front of the set — Johnson brought up the gap in Strahan’s teeth and how the artist’s rendering closely resembled the real thing during a segment where the three Hall of Famers talked about their respective induction ceremonies and accompanying busts —
“They advised me not to grin since it’s difficult to get the teeth right,” I said. It’s a bit strange. But I’ll tell you right now, it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t have a grin on my face,” Strahan remarked, eliciting laughs from everyone at the desk, including Bradshaw. Strahan then turned his attention to Steelers Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
“Terry, you can’t speak because I’m going to put that coffee cup on your head,” Strahan stated, gazing at Bradshaw’s bust and then quickly picking up a coffee cup from the desk and placing it back down.
Long said, pointing to Bradshaw’s monument, “You can land an aircraft on that.”
Strahan concurred, saying, “That looks like you could land an aircraft on there.” “Flat.”
Bradshaw maintained his upbeat demeanor, giggling at the two men who were shooting at him.
Last year, Terry Bradshaw launched an obscene shot at Michael Strahan and Howie Long, for which he subsequently apologized.

Strahan’s opening shot of the season might be seen as a continuation of the verbal warfare that erupted at the conclusion of last season. It occurred when Bradshaw, known for his outlandish sense of humour, went too far on Fox’s pregame program and made serious allegations against Long and Strahan when discussing the Ravens.
Bradshaw began, “There are certain things in life you simply don’t want to face.” “For starters, I don’t want to go fishing with Jimmy Johnson, who removes his shirt. I don’t want to see Howie, who used to juice with Michael, take those steroids.”
“Whoa! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow Menefee stepped in to help. Long and Strahan were originally seen on video giggling. The former New York Giants defensive standout then seemed surprised.
Bradshaw attempted to continue, but Long cut him off.
“Wait, wait, wait!” says the narrator. he stated
“I’m not done yet. Bradshaw responded, “I’m not done yet.”
Long replied, “You got us confused up with the squad you played with.” “Exactly!” Off-camera in the background, Strahan said.
Bradshaw added, “I don’t want to see those men coming at me.” “I don’t want a divorce attorney to show up at my home. And if you’re in the NFL, you don’t want to face the Ravens because once they defeat Cincinnati tonight, no team will be tougher to beat.”
Later in the show, Bradshaw apologized for his comments. Strahan is unlikely to apologize for making light of the former Steelers quarterback’s dome.
The National Football League has returned. Let the verbal volleys begin.
