Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills’ first-round pick in 2018, has been getting a lot of attention for his strong play at quarterback. The Steelers defense is well aware of what he’s capable of and they’re preparing accordingly.

The nfl news is reporting that Josh Allen has received a warning from the Steelers defensive coordinator ahead of their season opener.

This season, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are anticipated to make a splash in the NFL. Allen and the Bills are the favorites in the AFC East after advancing to the AFC Championship Game. They face the Pittsburgh Steelers at home on Sunday in the first game in their quest for a Super Bowl spot.

Allen has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the game, owing to his ability to throw and run. Keith Butler, the Steelers’ defensive coordinator, issued a warning to Allen if he chooses to use his legs against his team.

Last year, Josh Allen and the Bills defeated the Steelers.

Allen and the Bills gave the Steelers their second defeat of the season in Week 14 last season. It happened in the middle of a five-game losing streak for Pittsburgh, who had started the season 11-0. The clubs were obviously on different paths, with Buffalo showing a lot of potential under Allen’s guidance.

Allen damaged the Steelers with his arm, not his legs, in that game. He only ran six times for 28 yards, but he delivered two third-quarter touchdown passes to put a 9-7 halftime advantage out of reach. In a 26-15 victory, Allen passed for 238 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bills have won their previous two meetings against the Steelers, and Allen is trying to make it three in a row. The Bills are a 6.5-point favorite in Sunday’s game.

Steelers’ General Manager Josh Allen is on the receiving end of a warning from Keith Butler.

As a runner, Keith Butler compares Bills QB Josh Allen to a young Big Ben because of his height and physicality:

“In the NFL, if you’re going to run the ball, that ball will get a lot of attention. There is almost always a cost. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the game.”

Allen has had a lot of success as a quarterback and runner in his short NFL career. Allen stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 237 pounds, with a rifle-like arm. When you combine it with his ability to sprint, he’s difficult to stop. Allen has 1,562 yards and 25 touchdowns on the ground in three regular-season seasons with the Bills.

The Steelers are trying to eliminate Allen’s running ability, and Butler has issued a warning to him if he intends on running on Sunday. Butler said that if Allen wants to be a running back, the Steelers would not hesitate to treat him as one.

“I’m hoping he tries to finish like a running back. According to Tim Benz of the Tribune-ReviewSports, Butler stated, “We’ll treat him like a running back.” “We’ll treat him like a running back if that’s what he wants.”

Butler wasn’t done yet.

“In the NFL, if you’re going to run the ball, that ball gets a lot of attention. There is almost always a cost. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the game.”

Allen was likened to a young Ben Roethlisberger by Butler.

Ben Roethlisberger, a seasoned quarterback, is the Steelers’ answer to Allen. Big Ben may not be what he once was at 39 years old, but Butler said Allen, with his powerful arm and movement, reminds him of the youthful Pittsburgh quarterback. Allen said that he still admires Roethlisberger’s ability to throw the ball.

According to, Allen remarked of Roethlisberger, “You just see the physical ability that he has, whether it’s pushing the ball downfield or being able to throw three techs (defensive tackles) off of him.” “Back in the day, I used to watch his game as if it was never finished. With him, it’s never over.

“He can find ways to break away and get the ball out in some unusual ways….” He was, and continues to be, a lot of joy to watch.”

Despite Butler’s warning, Allen is unlikely to change his approach against the Steelers.
