The 2019 NBA draft is just days away, and the Cavs have a decision to make. They could either trade down in order to pick up another piece like DeAndre Ayton or Luka Doncic, or they can go all-in on Duke freshman Darius Garland and hope he has as much potential as Caris LeVert. The former’s thought process would be more understandable because of his ability to put pieces around him that are better than what their current roster offers, but some feel it may not pay off for them so well at this point in time.,

Darius Garland’s comments give a stunning glimpse into the Cavs’ unlimited potential. The former Duke star has made it clear that he is going to make an impact on this team, and with his speed, defensive ability and shooting skills, he will be able to help the Cavs win games. Darius Garland's Caris LeVert Comments Give a Stunning Glimpse Into the Cavs' Unlimited Potential

The Cleveland Cavaliers, who have already risen from the basement of the Eastern Conference to near the top, just acquired Caris LeVert from the Indiana Pacers in one of the season’s largest moves.

LeVert will be a dynamic scorer for the Cavs and relieve burden on point guard Darius Garland. His presence, on the other hand, raises the team’s total potential from high to limitless.

Garland, LeVert’s new teammate, recently spoke about what the transfer means for the Cavaliers. He also demonstrated why the sky may not be the limit for their team.

Caris LeVert provides the Cavaliers with another consistent scorer.

After losing Collin Sexton, the team’s leading scorer the previous two seasons, to a season-ending knee injury, the Cavaliers (33-21) have been seeking for another perimeter shooter to complement Darius Garland.

For a while, Ricky Rubio served in that capacity. However, he was sidelined for the rest of the season due to a knee injury, and Cleveland was unable to replace him.

That is, until Caris LeVert was acquired this week.

Along with Garland, big men Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, LeVert will offer the Cavs more scoring punch. He can, however, utilize his dribble to open up opportunities for himself, unlike Allen and Mobley. His handles also help him facilitate for his teammates (he averaged 5.2 assists last season), so he’ll help generate more chances for the big guys and give Garland more opportunity to catch and shoot.

By acquiring LeVert, the Cavaliers have made a significant improvement. And it looks that Garland is the most ecstatic.

Caris LeVert will assist the Cavs, according to Darius Garland.

Darius Garland is having a tremendous season and is a big reason why the resurgent Cavs are just 1.5 games behind the Eastern Conference leaders. He’s scoring 19.8 points per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and handing out 8.2 assists per game. For the first time in his career, he was named to the All-Star team this season.

Garland’s meteoric rise to NBA superstardom landed him a spot on The Draymond Green Show recently, when he revealed some fascinating details regarding his feelings on the Caris LeVert deal.

On the Feb. 9 edition, Garland noted, “(The deal) simply brings in another player who can be explosive on the ball; he can go get his anytime.” “To be honest with you, it simply makes us longer defensively.” Caris is a true 6-6, and he’s really athletic. Just plugging the void, like you indicated, so we can take the next step toward success and gain more victories and playoff berths. That is our whole objective. … I told (general manager Koby Altman) that I wanted to win. So, just by getting Caris on board, we feel we have a shot in our locker room, and our front office thinks it as well. So I’m really looking forward to that.”

The offensive effect LeVert will have is likely the major reason the Cavs traded for him. However, his contributions on defense and in terms of the team’s winning ambitions allow Cleveland to achieve its full potential.

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ potential is limitless.

The Cavs’ success this season has been fuelled by their size and how it has aided them defensively. They start three players who are all above 7 feet tall, and they rank first in the NBA in opponent points per game, allowing just 102.1 per game on average.

Their main strength will be bolstered by LeVert’s length.

However, the deal demonstrates that the Cavs are prepared to go to any length to win (something Garland pointed to). That’s good, given how young their core is.

Garland is 22, Jarrett Allen is 23, and Evan Mobley is 20 years old. If the Cavaliers can start winning now, their potential will skyrocket, since they will almost certainly improve as they get more experience.

Overall, LeVert has the potential to help this talented Cavs squad fight for a championship this season. The Cavs’ players and front management are eager to win, as seen by the deal that brought him here. The Cavaliers have the potential to become one of the NBA’s next dominating teams if this youthful and motivated core can stay together.
